We were initially opposed to the placement of the garage entrance due to health concerns of residents contiguous to the site, specifically cars queueing to enter the proposed structure. After attending the community meeting on March 2nd at Bret Harte School, we were still unclear as to where the actual entrances to the parking structure would be. A response to our continued questions revealed that there were some hard parameters set by SFMTA for traffic on Arrelious Walker and a significant push by our Supervisor to ramp up public transportation to the area earlier than is customary with such projects. This led us to have a meeting with SFMTA representatives that have been working on transportation planning for the project and we now understand more fully the changes that have been made to the entrances to the parking structure as well as the transit plans for the area. As long as plans continue to contain the entrances to the parking structure as outlined on the attached Vehicle Access Plan, we will not oppose moving forward with the project.

Dear Neighbors - Silverado, one of our Candlestick Point contractors, will have its second over-wide equipment removal from the site tomorrow, Wednesday, October 7th. The vehicles will have permits to transport the equipment, however, these “permitted loads” require the moving of the equipment to occur before 6 AM to get off of the city streets and state highways (to comply with SFPD and CHP requirements).
To comply with Caltrans and City and County of San Francisco regulations, the oversized loads carrying large equipment will be transported between 3 AM and 6 AM. The equipment removal for tomorrow morning is scheduled for 4 am. The load will be leaving the Candlestick Parking lot from the gate on Hunters Point Expressway, farthest away from any residences. Efforts will be made to minimize noise and disturbance. As the need for similar work arises, you will be notified. Those dates have not yet been scheduled.
Thank you
